Invitation
INVITATION: noun. a written or verbal request inviting someone to go somewhere or to do something.
I could sense it coming.
The tension. The stretching. The ever-increasing sense that God was about to ask me to do something that would sweep me off my feet and plunge me into depths of His love I’d yet to know.
I loved my life, the people I got to do it with and the places I was able to experience as I followed Jesus back & forth across America with Circuit Riders for 2+ years.
There was a great love, freedom, peace and revival I encountered in that time.
Yet, no matter how much we cherish something or the community we get to experience it with - there comes a time when each of us are extended the invitation to experience a greater depth of God’s character.
We’re extended the invitation into the M O R E.
It’s then that we have a choice to make.
We’re faced with the choice to press into the tension and surrender what we’ve known OR continue with life as we know it and surrender to complacency and a false sense of stability.
Either way, we’re surrendering to something.
And that’s what got me.
I knew that this invitation to let go of what I’d known and step into the unknown with God felt slightly scary but simultaneously exhilarating & that I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
So I postured my heart with an ever-resounding YES and made up my mind that no matter what He asked I was in - I was ALL IN.
